Columbus Nursing Student Earns OCU Academic Award

Oklahoma City University nursing student Amanda Berger from Columbus, Ga., received the Academic Excellence Gateway Senior Student Award during the Kramer School of Nursing's pinning ceremony in December.

Berger plans to begin her work at the Children's Center in Oklahoma before she and her husband are re-stationed at Aviano Air Force Base in Italy. She said she believes that the core purpose of a nurse is to give "compassionate care to all people."
