Matthew Clark Earns OCU Academic Award

Oklahoma City University nursing student Matthew Clark from Seattle received the Star Award during the Kramer School of Nursing's pinning ceremony last semester.

The Star Award is given to students who persevere and demonstrate tenacity. Chosen by the faculty, the honorees show that despite their many responsibilities outside of school, they continue to make excellent progress toward finishing their nursing degrees.

Clark and his family are moving to Tulsa, where he has been offered a staff RN position at Saint Francis Hospital. When asked how he felt about the award he said, "I am humbled and thankful that the OCU Kramer School of Nursing has acknowledged the hard work I have put in while attending the program."
