Tawnya Peery Earns OCU Academic Award

2015 Feb 4

Oklahoma City University nursing student Tawnya Peery from Ardmore received the Star Award during the Kramer School of Nursing's pinning ceremony last semester.

The Star Award is given to students who persevere and demonstrate tenacity. Chosen by the faculty, the honorees show that despite their many responsibilities outside of school, they continue to make excellent progress toward finishing their nursing degrees.

Peery plans to continue her education in Georgetown University's FNP program. She would like to acknowledge that her biggest support came from her husband and best friend, Dereck Peery, and that she is honored to have received the prestigious award.
